Piero Fornasetti, the artist who created whimsical and decorative objects from plates to bureaus. His fun and exquisite objects, now found at auction houses at dizzy prices, can now be enjoyed yet again.
His son Barnaba, using images from his father’s archives, has in collaboration with Cole & Son, created a new range of wallpaper, now available at our studio, to put a little bit of Fornasetti in all our homes.
Here are some images of the wallpaper, it’s fun and makes a statement, perfect for a study or dining room. Great too, for the downstairs clockroom, where you want a little quirkiness.
We love the hip design shop in Paris, L’Eclaireur, especially the store on Rue Boissy d’Anglas, just beside Buddhabar. Their windows, in January, were celebrating the new Fornasetti wallpaper. They had cut the motifs out of the new Nicchie wallpaper and framed them, very effective, and just typical of the original collage of frames that Piero had in his Villa in Milan. The restaurant walls have been commissioned to empathise Fornasetti too.
