Monthly Archives: June 2013
Just incase you didn’t get last month’s Elle Decor magazine, here is the lovely feature on Manuel Canovas fabrics with their Design Director Ariane Dalle, and I have, off course, included some Images of her fabric designs to give you a feel of what’s available from our showroom by this wonderful fabric house. A couple of them you have seen before on an older blog but the the colours are so gorgeous you can never tire looking at them.
Deep rich pigment gives their elegant linens and cottons a timeless quality.
The range also has soft mellow colours too, soft aquas and taupes.
We used the Coral design fabric in Deanes Seafood Restaurant, perfect theme and colour combination.
For a masculine look, their new spring range includes this wonderful coral design with the latest trend of big bold stripes – see older blog on this trend – https://www.ianthompsoninteriors.com/stripe-it-now/
Cushions available to buy at our showroom, the fabric is again from the new spring collection.
Manuel Canovas wallpaper, a typical french toile, used with the Moroccan shaped headboard gives this room an authentic Manuel Canovas look,
His designs are influenced from his Parisian roots, elegant, but always with his love of all things exotic.
Sun factor on, bubbly chilling, and a little quiet time. Sunday lunch in the garden, just Ian and I, catching up, reading the Sunday Papers and, yes you guessed, too much bubbly, so a little hangover and a few red patches to prove it this morning. I don’t know if we were celebrating my birthday or the fact the sun was still out.
Hector, with his summer hair cut, chilling below the Wisteria, on the new cushions, fabric William Yeoward, available at the showroom.
Our Portofino scented candle burning, the zesty grapefruit and pepper fragrance keeps the wasps away.
Mad about blue and white colours for summer, all fabrics available at the showroom.
The wine cooler (range available at the showroom) not to be only used for drinks.
My favourite summer fragrance is the scent of Alvarex Gomez’s Aqua de Colonia, a mix of scents from the Med; Lemon, Bergamot, lavender and Rosemary.
Not forgetting Ian’s Ligne St Barth Roucou tanning oil.
A shady corner, all seating; Lutyens benches, French wire garden furniture, all available at our showroom.
An salvaged pew seat set back into the hedge for a really shady corner.
The Three Grace statue covered in ivy. A little tidying needing done sometime soon.
Back at work this morning with new stock. Garden Iron Bench with seat pad and cushions, all William Yeoward fabrics, available at the showroom.
